Zoe walked around the castle. She was tired of being inside all the time. Maybe she could sneak out to Hogsmeade. She knew there was a secret passage somewhere inside the castle, but she didn’t know where exactly. Also it wouldn’t be fun to go by one’s self. Hogsmeade was the type of place you went with your friends, not the type you went alone to.
If only she could find her friends she would be a happy witch. She didn’t know where they had gone off to, and this frustrated her. The castle was big, but was it that big that she couldn’t find them even though she’d searched everywhere? It was completely ludicrous. And who in their right bloody minds would stand her up? Who the hell would avoid her? Her friends were definitely going to get an earful from her. She could do better. She could definitely find better friends. Maybe after today she would be able ditch her old friends for good. Or maybe not, they had been with her since pretty much forever…
She thought about this as she wandered aimlessly around the castle. Suddenly, she found herself in front of the statue of the one-eyed witch. She looked at the statue, and spoke to it “does it get lonely being a statue?” Oh, Merlin, she was going crazy! Talking to a statue! What would people think?! She looked around them and saw no one, so she leaned against the statue. “I think I’m going to end up as alone as you…” she said sadly.
